The Bareknuckles Barbershop is the idea of owner Nancy Savage. After 32 years of serving the community as a firefighter, Nancy still wanted to give back to the community. She opened the barbershop in honor of her late father, who was a barber for 25+ years in the Indianapolis area. She chose the town of Irvington because of the LGBTQ+ friendly community and lifestyle they offer. For the last 5 years, we have been serving our clients in the heart of Irvington and pride ourselves on being a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community. We offer a clean, friendly, and relaxing environment for all clients, for all demographics, of all ages. No matter your gender, sexuality or nationality!

John and Ashley joined the shop in the summer of 2022. John is a 10-year military veteran(Marines & Army). He is a multicultural barber with over 5 years of experience in all hair types and styles. Ashley is a 6 year Navy veteran and has been in the hair industry for 10 years and is well verse in any hairstyle for both men and women.
They have both stepped up to help run the barbershop and keep Nancy's dream alive.
